Diversity is defined as Differences or Variation If every One are equal then the Knowledge / Intelligent will be finite there fore the ability to learn & grow will also be restricted.
Each people born with significant of skills so whenever they move with other kind of people the can give to their skills to some one at the same time they can learn some thing from others as well.

Significance of Managing Diversity
- Healthy controlled diverse teams out perform homogeneous teams & vice versa.
- Renown in the market & attract best Employees.
- Employee who feel valued & rewarded are more engaged & motivated.
- Greater employee engagements lead to lower revenue rate.
So if the diversity is embraced by the organization will have a greater healthy impacts in their gradual growth but while the time of recruit people Organization has some consideration in Employees who are match with that to achieve their VISION & MISSION.

Deletehi reha,When diversity is managed well, and employees are subject to cross-cultural diversity and inclusion training, the result is that all people feel validated and considered important no matter their differences.Giving employees the opportunity to work with people who bring different skills and views to the table helps them recognize that everyone is important for different reasons. ReplyDeleteWorkplace diversity affects the development of interpersonal relationships, how supervisors and managers interact with staff and how employees relate to each other. It also affects human resources functions, such as record keeping, training, recruiting and requirements for HR staff expertise. In many ways, workplace diversity increases HR responsibilities and holds the department accountable for functions mandated by law.
As per the Globalization interconnection between the different people get increased in the 21st century therefore I think workplace diversity will bring more improvements in employees attitudes & behaviors rather than the shortcomings.

ReplyDeleteThough the laws promote equal opportunity, in practice, the hiring of disadvantaged, women and minority groups is still lagging behind in relative terms when compared with the majority groups. For instance, it is not uncommon for employers to weed out resumes of women and people of color. In some countries, there are still barriers to the hiring of people from certain cast in some states as was evidenced in news reports in the recent past. These practices are certainly undesirable about the intentions of employers in embracing diversity at the workplace. Need some mindset change among the firms and the practice of diversity is something that has to be encouraged from the top.

You are right but the laws are differ from countries to countries & we couldn't expect the changes has to happen every where at a same time It will happen gradually.
